Physicians and hospitals participating in the Program offer families peace of mind - ensuring that in the rare case of a qualifying birth injury, the best care is available.Participation is voluntary, reflecting Virginia’s strong tradition of choice. Today, over 70% of delivering physicians take part, helping the Program cover more than 90% of births statewide.
